In 2005 Brad co-founded
Spirit Environmental after owning his own firm, Anthem
Consulting. He brought with him over 15 years of experience
in assisting industry with environmental issues, particularly
in the area of air quality. His areas of expertise are
permitting, compliance, due diligence/audits, and litigation
support. His primary clients consist of chemical, petrochemical,
and refining companies. He also works with other industries
such as manufacturing, coatings, and materials handling.
Throughout his career Brad has prepared
and obtained over 75 state and PSD air permits for new
construction or existing facilities. Many projects have
required complex strategic development and planning
activities. In each instance Brad successfully addressed
the client’s construction requirements, legal
issues, and environmental objectives. He has performed
air dispersion modeling in support of ambient air quality,
health effects, and disaster review analyses. As a result
of many permit negotiations, he has developed an excellent
reputation with several state agencies.
In addition to permitting activities,
Brad provides air quality support for mergers, acquisitions,
and divestitures. He managed the air quality team as
part of several major refinery mergers, and was responsible
for determining the overall financial and enforcement
risk to clients regarding air quality issues. His due
diligence experience, combined with years of planning
and conducting audits, has provided him with an in-depth
knowledge of air quality compliance matters. Brad has
also served as a consulting expert for defendants on
several litigation cases. His work helped his clients
avoid costly trials as well as reduce settlement costs.
During his career Brad has spent a significant
amount of time working on-site at his clients' facilities,
including over one year at a Houston-area chemical plant.
This experience has provided him with a working knowledge
of process and project-related issues within the plant
environment.
Brad has a B.S. in civil engineering and
a master’s degree in environmental engineering.
He is an active member of Air and Waste Management Association,
and is a member of Tau Beta Pi, the National Engineering
Fraternity. |
